Welcome to Poet Christian Elementary

Welcome to Poet-Christian K-8 School!

Poet-Christian is a wonderful school community.  We have terrific students, supportive families, and a dedicated staff.  This is my 20th year at Poet and I have enjoyed working with a huge number of families and students over the years.  Our PTSA and staff works hard to provide our students with a variety of activities, events, and programs.  It is always great to see students and families participating in school functions.  These activities help us build strong bonds and enable us to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment.

K-2 Math Packet Correction

Dear Parents,

An Error was discovered with the K-2 Math Packets after they had gone to print and distributed to families.  An error in the digital translation changed the +, -, and = signs in the math problems to numbers.   Below is the correction to the problems along with a sample of what happened and what should have been printed.  The numbers that replaced the +,-, and + sign are a slightly different font and lighter.   We are very sorry about the issue and inconvenience.

1 is an addition sign (+)

2 is a subtraction sign (-)

5 is an equal sign (=)

Example problem from 2nd grade packet:   12 2 3 5      This should be: 12 + 3 =

Box Tops For Education

he Box Tops for Education program is changing the way we can earn money for our school.  BTFE is slowing switching over to a digital platform.  Instead of cutting out Box Tops and sending them in, parents will be able to scan receipts using an App to earn money for our school.  This new program is designed to save time and to make it easier for parents and schools to earn money.  Downlaod the BTFE App and start today!
We will still be collecting Box Tops the old way until a full transition has taken place.   Please keep sending in those Box Tops and don’t wait to download the App.  More information is attached in this month’s Family Envelope.
